when i then attatch the top plate whatever i do with this bracket the left hand side of the glareshield hangs down.
Also sepp 6 no2 on downloads sais Fixate the glare top plate with type
B+G. Position the top plate so it matches the glare wing.
But my efis box has no holes in it so is supposed to just slide under.

| Can ANYONE who has purchased the newer desktop kits advise if they can screw the top plate into the angled bracket (left hand side) and the efis box (right hand side). |

OK I have now confirmed with another member that the,
Efis box should be pre drilled ( its not)
The angled bracket should be pre drilled (its not)
Replacement parts needed Robert

steve,
both the horizontal part of the efis box and the angled part at the other end of the glare should be predrilled.
Meeting robert tomorrow and will discuss this with him.
will get back to you asap.

I, too, have no predrilled holes for the topplate on neiter the Captains Panel (step 6.2 and 6.3) nor the Centre Panel MCP box (Step 4 B). The topplates do have the holes , but not the angled bracket, efis box or MCP box.

Thats correct.
The latest revision do not have these holes pre drilled anymore.
Will have the manuals changed.

Any good suggestion on how to fix the topplate to the stand without drilling holes? Or should I invest in a stand for my drilling machine?

Hallo All,
3 weeks ago I purchased the FO panel and just last week the captain’s and center panels. The EFIS box on the FO panel has holes while the other two don’t. I don’t see how you can attach the top plate on the center MCP box without screws; you don’t want to glue it on.
So, I will drill the holes. Because I have a reference I’ll give it to you.
The holes are exact in the middle of the 20 mm strip. The hole on the front is 28 mm from the rim. The whole on the back is 40 mm from the end. The holes themselves are 4 mm wide and 8 mm long, so the screws have some room to move. The 8 mm length is parallel to the length of the EFIS box, so the top plate can move back and forth.
Unless Stef comes up with the better way to attach the top plates, I’ll guess were are stuck with drilling some holes.
Good luck,
