And an additional question about a small detail of the yoke Wink

On the pictures provided in the news forum one can clearly see the checklist board on the yoke. However I cannot see a holder for Jeppersen charts which is usually atop of the checklist board...

Would be a shame if this small detail would be missing, since it shouldn't increase the costs of the yoke by much Wink

It will NOT be missing Smile

Please give us an example of the cost???!?!? I'm not a cockpit builder and don't know that I'll ever be, but a yoke with those motorized features would put me on cloud 9!!!! Razz

And in addition to a good yoke, a good rudder pedal set along with a decent throttle quad would put me on Cloud 99....I hate pushing buttons but I love the feeling of a realistic yoke, rudder & throttle system which is in my own opinion what flying is all about..........In my case, it was a real NG simulator. The yokes that are currently available do not come close except for maybe the PFC column yoke. Definitely not the 'Cirrus' type jet yoke. I returned that one 2 minutes after I opened the box..

Regards & hope that the 'Engravity' team is working hard on the yoke and have additional thoughts on the rudders & throttle quad.

saying anything about price would make me "guestimate" things.

And i'd rather not do that. All i can say about the price is that it will be aimed at the higher end market. The yoke is on schedule and we still plan to release it Q1 2007.

Who knows what we will work on next Wink

@gremel: Of course flying a real NG or a real NG level-d sim compares to nothing. On the other hand the average throttle of a level-D sim is in the $ 100K pricerange. Of course you cannot compare this to any available TQ for the consumer market.

Lets hope we get close to that feeling with our Yoke. I'm confident Wink

If you'll need someone to evaluate the prototype, please let me know. I don't charge anything for it; I just have a strict no-return policy. Smile

I was just wondering if there's any information available regarding the release date of the yoke? The first quarter has come to an end, so I'm a bit curious.

Also, I would like to know if the trim on this new yoke is an "infinate" trim. Right now I'm using the CH yoke, and the trim wheel on this yoke can only be turned up or down within a certain range. The problem is that this trim wheel's range is insufficient for trimming a 747. That's why I'm using the trim wheel of the GoFlight landinggear at the moment (you can turn the wheel up or down as much as you want).

KingCat: The trim wheel on the CH yoke isn't for trim - it only adjust the center point.
You should use the up/down grey button on the left handle for trimming, just like the real deal works.
The yoke will have a 3-way switch (up-off-down). To trim the airplane, you push up or down on the switch. This is how the real yoke works.

So yes: The yoke WILL have "infinite trim". Smile

Would like a confirmation from Engravity on the trim subject.

Also any news regarding the releasedate? Since the first quarter has come to an end.
