I have a serious question in my problem,
I have just bought six packs, you could say to me how I make to recognize the threads of six packs because they are all of the same color ?????

I downloaded the PDF on the forum to see the color of the threads, and I see that they are in colors

Because I all cable it is grey and 1 with a red strip

I do not have the six-packs, but this seems easy enough. The connector pictured in the installation manual have some tabs on one side. Hold the connector so that the tabs point away from you and the wire hangs down. If the red striped/dotted cable is to the right, then it is the brown common cathode in the manual.

I doubt the wires came color-coded. The manual could be color-coded for clarity.

BTW: It's easy to check though. Measure between the leftmost two wires and press the recall. If you can detect a connection there, you know which side is the recall switch connections. Use a good multimeter, and it's easy.

Sorry for being very direct here, but if you can't do such an easy task as that - you have a big problem. Building a cockpit requires some basic knowledge about electronics, or you're limited to buying everything ready to fly. Trust me.
The good thing is that the knowledge you need is VERY limited, EASY and all info is available on the 'net. Smile

Just don't get stumped if something does not look exactly as you thought or expected. Cool Nothing is impossible! The impossible just takes a bit longer...

good luck, mate! Smile

Hi vidarf ,

The problem it is because I do not know which thread goes or, it is my unique question, as knowledge if the thread number 5 serves for the fuel oil, or IRS, or APU ?????

I know perfectly that the construction of a cockpit asks for a minimum of knowledge in electronics, or even joinery , but seen which it is necessary at least 4 weeks for the SAV(AFTER-SALES SERVICE), I do not want to put in short circuit my elements, Each the philosophy, I ask advice

Nothing is impossible! That's why the forums exist .

Thx dude 4 ur answer . Wink

Yeah, after sales service sucks Wink

if you look at the six packs from the back, the most left pin is the ground for the recal switch. The most right pin is the common cathode for the leds.

You can use the picture below for reference.

http://home.casema.nl/pago/sixb.JPG

Vidars tip is a great one: if you have a multimeter with a continuity test, measure 2 pins on either end. press one of the recall buttons and see if it closes. if it closes you have found the 2 terminals for the recall. from there you can use the diagram in the manual to see the other connections.

No cockpit builder can do without a good multimeter with a continuity test.

Jeff,

I went to pick up your afds unit afterall.

Tested the 3 terminals for the switch with a continuity tester and there is nothing wrong with it.

The AFDS unit works as it is supposed to, so i suspect a miswiring like with the leds before when we exchanged the unit and it turned out to be a miswiring also.

Ill contact you by mail to get the unit back to you.

Stef

After sales service sucks? Dude, I actually WORKED as an after sales manager in our store! Evil or Very Mad

Very Happy Got a better job now - manager of the brown goods department, pushing TV's all day. That 80" Sharp I ordered is tempting (visuals...).

Jeff, glad to hear you figured it out. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, that was NOT my intent. Just a well-meant kick in the butt, if you know what I mean. Smile

Happy building, folks!
